Only reason this is getting a 3.5 star rating instead of a 4 or even a 5 is the subject matter, and the fact there are no warnings whatsoever.
I am not triggered by anything, but this book is rampant with sexual abuse/rape, dubious consent, beatings and even Stockholm syndrome. There is no trigger warning at all on GR. And on Loose-Id's page and amazon all I found was reference to past rape, violence AFTER I clicked the read more link. And the reference is calling it lightly, there is actual scenes of it.
As I said this might have even gotten a 5 from me, it is written beautifully, it had me bawling at times. The pain radiating from Brady went straight to my heart.
