Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

Allegiant - Veronica Roth

I have been jonesing at the bits having Allegiant released so I could finally read this awesome series that everyone is talking about.

It has not lived up to my expectations.

This book like the two before it is gruesome and vivid. But much too complicated. When I read dystopian books, I would very much like to go, (unless fantasy) this is really scary, this could ACTUALLY happen. The world outside, that we were left wondering about in Insurgent, didn't capture me at all. The divide between the people (in that capacity) wasn't something I could imagine happening.

I do think that Roth wanted this one to be the most emotional of them all, but like in the previous, Allegiant didn't have me feeling much except the emotion of can it be done yet.

You have to give Roth props though, deciding on the ending she did.
